Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim freed on police bail
KUALA LUMPUR, THURS:
Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was released on police bail today at 9.45am following several hours of questioning by police.
Anwar, who was accompanied by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and daughter Nurul Izzah, left hastily through the back gate of the city police headquarters in Jalan Hang Tuah in a black 4WD vehicle. He was spotted waving at journalists who chased the vehicle
He is expected to give a press conference at his residence in Segambut Dalam about 2pm.
