Film Journalists announce awards

Cinema Journalists Association, which was founded in 2005, has decided to give away awards to the best talents in cine field every year. The association has started the process from this year. The 107 films that were released in 2007 were taken in to consideration for the awards to be given under various categories.

The list of the awards goes like this:

• Best film: Paruthi Veeran
• Best Actor: Sathyaraj
• Best Actress: Priyamani
• Best Director: Ameer
• Best Story Writer: Ram
• Best Script Writer: Venkat Prabhu
• Best Dialogue Writer: Viji
• Best Music Director: Yuvan Shankar Raja
• Best Lyricist: Na Muthukumar

A. Thamizanban, the President of the association, has informed in a press release that the association has planned to organize the award giving function in a grand manner. Further details are awaited.
